ERC Equipment Sale: Sep 17; 10am-4pm

The remainder of Al VA3TET’s estate equipment, and Club equipment excess to the Club’s needs, will be sold at a mini-HamFest / Driveway Sale, in the driveway of Reg VE3RVH, on Saturday September 17, weather permitting. Address is 45 Larkspur Cres, Kitchener, just off Fischer-Hallman Rd, near Forest Heights Collegiate. Look for the tower with VHF antenna on Larkspur.

A picture archive of much of the remaining equipment is available at https://ve3erc.ca/zenphoto/. A list compiled by Reg VE3RVH is available as a PDF file here. There will be some items available to give away – come and check it out!

Al VA3TET’s callsign transferred to ERC

The Elmira Radio Club now has an extra callsign for use on it’s repeaters: VA3TET. Al Macdonald’s family kindly released his callsign, and the Club has now acquired it, sponsored by President Ted VE3TRQ. “Victor Alpha Three Tasty Edible Turnips” will still be heard.

The Lighthouse Weekend is History!

The weather for the ILLW was almost perfect – a bit of rain Saturday evening, but mostly the weather was very cooperative. The burgers and onions cooked by Paul VA3PDC and Brian VA3DXK were appreciated by all, and Boston Pizza in Kincardine served up some fine meals Saturday evening.
